Teleconferencing And Its Importance

Teleconferencing And Its Importance In Conducting Global Business Operations:

Teleconferencing is a term used to refer to communication among three or more persons, located not necessarily in the same place, using an electronic medium. The participants can be geographically located in different parts of the world; however, using this new method of communication they can easily discuss matters. Thus, the basic purpose of conferencing through this new and advanced electronic medium is to bring people located at far off places in one virtual location.

There are three widely popular kinds of conferencing devices, which includes audio conferencing, also called as voice conferencing, which is carried out using a phone. The other conferencing types consist of video conferencing and conferencing through computer terminals. People who have their relatives located at far off places by availing voice and video conferencing services find it easy to connect with their family members located in different parts of the world. Similarly, organizations that have their business partners or branches located in different parts of the country or world maximize the use of conferencing services.

Teleconferencing services have made business operations over long distances very easy, as business executives no longer have to travel to different locations to attend meetings or discuss issues with clients. One can discuss the business matters with the clients through audio or video conferencing and can seal the deal without physically moving to different parts of the world.

Among a large number of advantages of conferencing services, the first that comes in the list is the cut in the communication and travel cost. The statistics show that the video and phone conferencing reduces business travel expenses by up to 30 per cent annually. That, depending on organization's size and presence globally, can account to billions of dollars. One other benefit of audio and video conferencing is that people who are physically handicapped and unable to attend meetings personally can attend important meetings, discussions, seminars etc. through these conferencing services.

As teleconferencing is of great advantage to business organizations, its popularity is increasing day by day, as a large number of small to large firms are availing conferencing services. Tapping to the huge demand for audio and video conferencing services, a large number of service providers in this area have come up, which are providing high-end

sharing tools that facilitates in sharing important documents. The transfer of documents are done through highly secured interface in encrypted form. Thus, the risk of any third party accessing the document is also minimized. Using these tools, one can also easily access the desktop of other participants even if they are not connected through LAN.

Conferencing Through the Internet

Internet conferencing allows people in a variety of locations to communicate with one another through the Internet, real-time. This can be in the form of text Instant Messages in the same chat room, voice conferencing or video conferencing. Large companies have held phone conferences for years and paid an arm and a leg for them. These days everyone is saving money through Internet phone conferencing instead.

Internet conferencing at a low price

For businesses and individuals, provides a cheap alternative to traditional teleconferencing through the phone line. If all members of an Internet phone conference are on the same system or using the same conference call provider, crystal clear Internet conferences can take place with absolutely no cost and without hassle.

Save time and money with Internet Conferencing

Conferencing, in general, saves a lot of time and resources. This is because information only needs to be dispersed one time, instead of in a relay of email messages or phone calls. Conferencing saves times and it saves money so it really is a practical option when you are considering ways to communicate with a large number of people in your organization at one time.

Internet phone conferencing equipment

If you are considering using VoIP to conduct conference calls, you must ensure that all participants have all of the correct equipment to make the call go smoothly. It makes sense to send out a checklist of some sort to remind people and to show them how to prepare for the conference call. This will eliminate communication problems and information being lost by certain parties during conversations where important issues will be discussed.

Prepare for Internet phone conferences

If you have taken on the task of promoting technology in your company and warming people up to the idea of using the latest technology on an every day basis then you must work hard to present things well. In all honesty, the only way that clients and executives will be sold on using audio conference call is if calls run smoothly and equipment functions correctly. You can completely avoid and eliminate unnecessary problems by ensuring that anyone that will be involved in your conference calls has all of the necessary equipment. You do not want people entering the conference call, saying "testing, testing, 123"; very unprofessional!

Instant Messenger Conferencing

All of the major VoIP companies offer some type of conferencing options. In addition to this, Instant Messenger systems also offer conferencing. It is a good idea to ensure that everyone that you want to talk with is using a broadband Internet connection so that the flow of the conference call is not interrupted by a bad connection. All participants must be able to hear what is being said clearly and also heard by all parties. If you decide to use an Instant Messenger conference service be sure to use the voice option so as to make the conference smooth and easy. Almost every major Instant Messenger company offers a voice to voice option.

True Secret to Success

True Secret to Success (It's Not What You Think)

I'm utterly convinced that the key to lifelong success is the regular exercise of a single emotional muscle: gratitude.

People who approach life with a sense of gratitude are constantly aware of what's wonderful in their life. Because they enjoy the fruits of their successes, they seek out more success. And when things don't go as planned, people who are grateful can put failure into perspective.

By contrast, people who lack gratitude are never truly happy. If they succeed at a task, they don't enjoy it. For them, a string of successes is like trying to fill a bucket with a huge leak in the bottom. And failure invariably makes them bitter, angry, and discouraged.

Therefore, if you want to be successful, you need to feel more gratitude. Fortunately, gratitude, like most emotions, is like a muscle: The more you use it, the stronger and more resilient it becomes.

Practice Nightly

The best time to exercise gratitude is just before bed. Take out your tablet (electronic or otherwise) and record the events of the day that created positive emotions, either in you or in those around you.

Did you help somebody solve a problem? Write it down. Did you connect with a colleague or friend? Write it down. Did you make somebody smile? Write it down.

What you're doing is "programming your brain" to view your day more positively. You're throwing mental focus on what worked well, and shrugging off what didn't. As a result, you'll sleep better, and you'll wake up more refreshed.

Reprogramming Your Brain

More important, you're also programming your brain to notice even more reasons to feel gratitude. You'll quickly discover that even a "bad day" is full of moments that are worthy of gratitude. Success becomes sweeter; failure, less sour.

The more regularly you practice this exercise, the stronger its effects.

Over time, your "gratitude muscle" will become so strong that you'll attract more success into your life, not to mention greater numbers of successful (i.e., grateful) people. You'll also find yourself thanking people more often. That's good for you and for them, too.

This method works. If you don't believe me, try it for at least a week. You'll be amazed at what a huge difference it makes.

The Simple Truth About Success

The Simple Truth About Success

Success

That elusive, intangible thing that we’re all searching for day after day, month after month, year after year.
What is success? How does one achieve success? How long does it take? Is it even possible?
What Is Success, Really?
The basic definition of success is incredibly simple:
Success is the realization or accomplishment of goals, desires, or purpose.
The problem is, as you can see from the definition, that success is a different thing for each and every person.
Society has its generic version of success — the high-rolling, powerful, attractive person who vacations on a yacht and commands legions of personnel — but not everybody wants that. In fact, there are millions of people who think they want that version of success but actually don’t.

Let’s take a look some different ideas of success. Here are a few common versions:
Having lots of money and/or power
Having lots of free time
Being good at a sport or hobby
Being popular and well-liked
What’s really funny, though, is that if you look at people much later in life, success becomes an entirely different thing:
Finding love or friendship
Raising a good family
Spending time with loved ones
Staying healthy
But success doesn’t just vary with age, either. Think about what it means to be successful in a third-world country:
Finding enough food to eat
Staying warm and dry
Protecting your family and friends
After all of these definitions, what is success really? If it varies so much from person to person, how can it even be called the same thing? Here’s the truth of the matter:
Success is knowing and accomplishing things that are important to you.
How To Be Successful
You’ll notice that the above definition of success has two very different parts. Knowing what is important to you, and Accomplishing the things that are important to you. For most of us, the first part—knowing—is actually the most important.
Understanding what is important to you, what makes you happy, what makes you feel good about yourself, etc… is very difficult, but it is critical because we often get the answers wrong. Many people spend their lives struggling to become wealthy, only to find that once they have wealth it isn’t nearly as important to them as other things like, say, love.
Ask yourself a few questions, and think about what would make you feel successful:
If you had Goal XYZ — would you really be happy?
Why is Goal XYZ important to you, how will it make your life better?
Pretend you’re stranded on a desert island, what would you want most?
Based on what’s really important, you probably already have some areas where you’re very successful. It’s easy to overlook that fact sometimes, but it’s important to remember.
Most people also have aspects of success that they haven’t yet achieved. For many middle-class Americans, Europeans, Canadians, and other first-world country dwellers this elusive element is money.
Accomplishing the elements of success that you don’t yet have requires hard work and perseverance, there’s no other way to put it. If something is that important to you, though, it will be worth working for. To put everything together:

Knowing what’s important to you is key, and recognizing achievements you’ve already made will make you happier. Goals and accomplishments that you don’t yet have will take hard work to accomplish, but it’s worth it if they’re really important.
Success is a Journey… A Long Journey
Imagine for a moment that you’ve achieved your current biggest goal. Whatever it is, imagine that you now have it. In fact, imagine that you accomplished it 6 months to a year ago, and the initial glow has worn off.
Are you just going to stop now? Are you going to be satisfied that you have the big goal, and just relax for the rest of your life?
Probably not.
You’re probably going to act like the rest of us humans and find some other goal to work on. If you wanted money, and you now have it, you might find that you want to do more fulfilling work. If you wanted to do something you love, and you’ve found that, you may decide that you want more money.
The truth is that success is a really long journey.
In order to be be truly successful throughout your life you need to be happy during the entire journey, and not just at the big landmarks. Most worthwhile accomplishments take so much work that it’s not possible to reach them without maintaining happiness and solid morale throughout the process.
The other problem is that some things are just not within your power to control. I’m a firm believer that all goals are reachable with enough effort, but realistically there are things that you might never accomplish.
That doesn’t mean you should give up and settle for what you have. It means you need to be happy the whole time you’re struggling and fighting for your dreams. In fact, the very act of struggling and fighting for your dreams should make you happy.

A Simple Life Well Lived

YOU WERE BORN FOR GREATNESS AND TO SUCCEED

Human beings are given a blank canvas called Life upon which we can create our very own work of art, painting whatever picture we desire. Unfortunately,  we have not received education in the ways of success, learning things like the value of imagination and visualization.
Most of us never even heard about the basic Laws of the Universe (attraction, retribution, polarity, creation) until adulthood.
We were mis-informed by well-meaning people and institutions that told us that success is hard to come by, a struggle.
This is fiction!
And it is time for You to achieve the dreams you have dreamed about.

Bring Forth the Treasure Within You

The treasure that is within you are your God-given gifts,
as well as having the ability to trust in a higher power
who wants you to be healthy, wealthy, and wise.
Success comes first in thought, then in energy,
and finally in form.
your treasure
To be more successful, start first by thinking of yourself as a success. Look around and recognize the success that you are already are.   Choose to believe in who you are and your abilities. Then you will intuitively know the right actions to take, which will easily lead you to the best possible outcome.

We’ve been misled to think that success is a destination or something tangible you can see, like money in the bank or a big fancy house.

Success is a feeling, a state of being, where you feel satisfied, joyful, fulfilled, and like you are doing your very best. The old sign of success was external, and about what you have. The new sign is internal—what I call Soul Success, and is from the inside out, based on how happy and on purpose you feel.
Benjamin Disraeli said, “Success is constancy of purpose.” This quote emphasizes the need to live our lives on purpose consistently and persistently.
The ultimate success in life is to answer the age-old questions of “Who I am?” and “Why I am here?”

When you answer these essential questions, you can begin to master the most important lessons of all--- who you were born to be and what you came here to do. This will make setting and achieving goals much easier because they will be in alignment with your soul’s vision and purpose in life.

Success is attracted to people who provide value and who invest in themselves.  So to attract more success, be success in each and every moment.   This means seeing and experiencing success now.
There are 5 ways I have found that allow my mind to become set for success:
1) completion 2) deletion 3) creation 4) organization 5) delegation.
When you feel the need to have “instant success,” organize something, complete something, remove something, delegate, and create something. Each of these actions are instant energy shifters and allow you to train your brain to see success, and therefore, “be success.”
1. Add Value
No matter what you do and where you go, you can’t go wrong with adding value. Simply put value is anything that people are willing to pay for. In your professional life, the more value you can offer the more money you can make. In your personal life, more value translates to closer relationships and strong personal growth. The best way to add value is to find the intersection between what people are willing to pay for and what service or product you can offer that is aligned with your values, strengths and goals.
How are you adding value to your employers and loved ones today? What can you do to increase your ability to add value?
2. Follow Your Passion
Reading numerous biographies on great people and from my own personal observations and encounters, I’ve realized that those who achieve greatness professional and personally follow their passion. The reason why great people are few and far in-between is because most people don’t even know what their passion is. For those that do figure out their passion, most of them don’t follow their passion consistently. This is one of the main reasons why people don’t reach their goals.
Do you know what your passion is? If not, what are you going to do to find out? If  you do know what you passion is, are you following it?
3. Be Extraordinary
If you do the same thing as everyone else, it’s hard to be successful. It is important to find the edge and then push past it. That is how you become noticed and get what you want. Whether it is money, meaningful relationships and/or a sense of personal accomplishment, the extraordinary person attracts them all.
How are you extraordinary?  If you feel just ordinary, what are you going to do to become extraordinary? For those who don’t know, you may want to check out articles on my blog and also How to go from Ordinary to Extraordinary.
4. Start Now
There are many factors that go into become a success in both your professional and personal life but the one factor that is required is taking action. Most people miss out on reaching their full potential because they never start. They are always preparing, planning and waiting for the best time to start. If I waited until I was ready, I would not have a coaching practice, a website, a blog, a workshop, etc. The stars rarely align and you will never be completely ready so just start now and adjust along the way.
Are you waiting for something before you start? What is your planning to doing ratio? What’s really the worse thing that can happen if you got started right now? If you are someone that’s just been waiting, stop reading this post and get started on what you have been wanting to do. This article will still be here when you get back.
5. Hunt for Good Mentors
People who “make it” usually credit their success to a mentor or a group of mentors who really helped guide them to get to where they are. Mentors have gone down the road that you want to travel and can guide you to get to your destination faster than if you went at it alone. If you want to be healthy, you would find a mentor who is already healthy. If you want to be rich, then you have to find someone who is already rich. What surprises me is how rarely people engage in mentoring relationships and those who do usually find mentors in only one aspect of their lives. If you want to be successful, be active about finding mentors that will help you achieve what you want.Jeff Goins has a nice short article on finding mentors.
Do you have a mentor in your life now? If not, ask yourself what barriers are preventing you from finding or establishing a mentoring relationship? If you do have a mentor, do you have one for the different aspects of your life (financial, health, professional, personal, spiritual, relationships, parenting etc.)?
6. Build a Support Group
While mentors serve as a guide with whom you review your past actions and plan your next steps, a support group are your companions that help you with during the actual execution of your plan. This may be in the form of a mastermind group or accountability partner where you keep each other accountable for your goals and to help each other deal with situations that may arise while you are on your journeys. It is extremely helpful to have someone you know that is willing to listen to your frustrations and self doubt and to encourage you and remind you of how far you’ve already come.
Who is in your support group?
7. Personally Know Your Finances
Numbers scare a lot of people. Start talking about assets, liabilities and net worth and people’s eyes just glaze over. If you are one of these people who run away from numbers, please stop running because you are hurting yourself. If you want to be financially independent, you need to know how to keep score. If you have your own business or want to successfully invest, finances tell you how well you are doing and reveal the health of a business. If you don’t understand finances, you have to learn. It’s easy once you get over the limiting belief that you are no good at numbers. For those interested in learning more, you may want to check out these personal finance resources.
Do you know you net worth? If you are bad at numbers, what specifically makes you believe that? How can you improve your financial intelligence?
8. Get Help
I have a tendency to try to do everything myself and in some ways it is good and in many ways it is bad. It is important to know and understand all aspects of your life and business but that does not mean having to do all the tasks involved in maximizing your potential in those areas. It is true that we can always learn new things and become competent in them but what is also true is that we are only given 24 hours each day and to live full lives, it is more effective to do what we do best and to outsource tasks that we’re not good at to people who excel at them. Delegating effectively takes trust and the ability to clearly communicate what you want. For those that want to outsource, Elance is a nice way to find some quality freelancers.
How are you spending your time? Is it doing things you are awesome at? If not, what are you doing that you can outsource or delegate so you can devote more time doing what you’re great at? What’s stopping you from outsourcing or delegating?
9. Learn Sales
Many people cringe when they hear the word sales. “I would never be in sales, that’s a sleazy job.” It is exactly this type of thinking that stops people from being their best. Sales is nothing more than persuading someone of something. When you are looking to get a date, you are selling. When you are interviewing for a job, you are selling. When you are trying to persuade your spouse or kids to go to Europe for your family vacation, you are selling. In a professional setting, sales is paramount and the lifeline for any business. If you want to get the most out of life and business, learn the skills for effective selling. I am beginning a series of blog posts on How to Sell on my blog and you can learn from other successful sales trainers by reading material from Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracey and Og Mandino.
When you hear “sales”, what associations come to mind? Are they positive or negative? Do you know the how to sell effectively? If not, how do you plan to learn?
10. Be Resilient
Things rarely work out the way you planned and there will always be distractions and stumbling blocks that you have to deal with when you are on your road to success. The key point to remember is to persist and to develop the courage to move on even when everyone around you is telling you it is ok to give up. This does not mean stubbornly holding on to your original plan but rather continuing to pursue your goal as long as the reasons for doing so is still valid (Make sure you know the “Why” of what you want). When everything seems to be going wrong, keep in mind that “the road to success is paved with a thousand failures” so each failure actually brings you closer to where you want to be. If you have trouble being resilient, check out the 6 Effective Ways to Be Persistent.
How often to you quit because things got tough? Would you descrive yourself as an unshakeable optimist? Do you view problems as opportunities or warning signs? How do you view failure and are you making sure that you don’t make the one mistake people make when learning from their mistakes?
